Fit for a queen

Legend is that Queenstown got it's name by being so pretty it was 'fit for a queen' and it's hard to argue with that. It has to be one of the most beautiful places I have been. The mountain range is called 'The Remarkables' and that sums it up!      I saw a full rainbow today for the first time I'd say - it was beautiful. New Zealand 

Well I am less than a week in NZ and I love it already. I must be the most enthusiastic traveller ever. So far the landscape is very familiar, and would remind you of home. It actually feels like autumn here while it didn't in Australia. Great Southern Land

Marianne and I are partial to a bit of Icehouse (Australian band who had their heyday in the 80's - like many of us), and I have used the name of their great song -which is now an Australian classic - for my title.
