Fit for a queen

Legend is that Queenstown got it’s name by being so pretty it was ‘fit for a queen’ and it’s hard to argue with that. It has to be one of the most beautiful places I have been. The mountain range is called ‘The Remarkables’ and that sums it up!

I saw a full rainbow today for the first time I’d say – it was beautiful. You can see part of it in the photo, alongside my grinning mug. (Bought a new rasta coloured hat today – a treat for the next lot of photos.)

They also have beautiful gardens with some amazing trees and a huge rose garden. Some beautiful autumn colours – hard to get my head around, given that it’s May.

The weather has changed and it’s wet now so I got the best of the day. Am moving on tomorrow so have to say goodbye to the Queen – won’t be easy.

Brilliant pics Julie. Are you really just taking them on the iPhone? They’re really stunning.

Yes Mar – just the phone on the camera! I think the colours and the light down here help.
