11 miles and lots of memories

Well my exam is done and it went ok. I attempted everything, though I was pressed for time so some answers were pretty short, but the main thing is it’s done. I was absolutely wrecked after it. I had intended to go down to the running shop and buy new runners and other bits I need but in the end I was so tired I went to bed. 9 miles on the plan for yesterday and it was the first group run with my training buddies. It was about 14 degrees and overcast and misty so ok conditions for running. We met at 9 am in the Phoenix Park: a mixed group of first time marathoners, improvers like me and people doing half marathons. Only 1 man among about 20 women - what’s new? And so it begins

Two runs to report today. Yesterday my marathon training proper started. I attended a workshop given by my running coach Mary Jennings on Thursday evening. Improvers marathon. So I’m officially an improver. Too right. The running plan is along the lines of last year. What I have to improve is myself.
