Brexit intervals

I debated staying to watch coverage of the Brexit vote in the House of Parliament, but it was a fine dry evening so I hit the record button on my tv and went out.

Intervals on the plan tonight – 3 miles in total with 3 blocks of .5 miles run fast. I enjoyed it – more than Theresa May enjoyed the vote I would wager. What a mess they are in. My half marathon in London is scheduled for the final weekend before the UK is due to leave the EU. Let’s see if it turns out that way.

  1. Sorry, for a minute there I thought you said something about Brexit…

    • Don’t get me started!!

  2. Good for you. I thought watching the Parlament vote would be kind of dry too.

    • Oh no, it’s very exciting. Sort of car crash tv.

      • Haha, we across the pond are having our own wreck. Our govt is slowly shutting itself down piece by piece as each Dept starting to run out of funding and sending their employees home. 24 days without pay for some.

        • Oh yes, am familiar with all that. It’s hard to see how it’s gong to end at this stage. Almost a month without pay is bound to start hurting badly.

Running is definitely a better spend of time than politics…
Out of curiosity (and feel free to decline to answer), what’s your view of how the vote went?

    • Well I am sorry that they are leaving at all and yesterday was a shambles. However maybe it’s to the good as it will mean a softer Brexit? It’s very hard to know.
