Hello, it’s me

Seems it’s over a year since I updated my poor neglected blog. I noticed in my bio that I have described it as my record for posterity, so I should treat it as such.

In a way there’s not been much to say about the last year; in another it was an exceptional year of life, given the pandemic and all. We were housebound for months of it, and worried and anxious for most of it. We didn’t go anywhere, except Athlone. Didn’t see many people, except outdoors. The only constants were work and running, and I was grateful for both, most of the time. I did another virtual marathon which was the highlight of my year. We are all still here and healthy so that is the main thing.

So I’m going to try and document things a bit more here, just for myself. Always good to have a goal, and a diary.

I’m a little broken… not major, but a small pain in my foot has made me uncomfortable for a while now; and like a typical guy, I just haven’t gone to see anyone about it.

        • That’s a shame – are you getting out and about?

          • matt says:

Some; I spend time at the archery range and I do a bit of walking with my cameras.

  6. Athlone? I feel your pain 😉
    Welcome back.

  7. Thanks Declan!
