A plank a day

I hadn’t ran since last Wednesday and I could feel the lack of activity so it was time to get out again. Not that I’ve been entirely idle; my running coach is doing a ‘Plank a Day’ challenge for the month of May on Facebook and to my great surprise I have done all the required exercises every day. Front plank, side planks and some push-ups. I’m pretty pathetic at the push-ups but no point in wasting the lack-of-commute time that the pandemic has provided. Hopefully doing planks will become a habit and I will be in better shape by the time we can get back to running longer distances.

However I feel it’s unlikely that the Dublin marathon will go ahead in October; the organising committee are meeting this Thursday apparently and they will have to pull the plug soon if they are doing it. We’ll see.

  1. I misread a prank a day 🙂

    • No pranks – I think the universe is playing enough pranks on us at the moment!
