Joy in a pandemic

I ended up drinking half a bottle of lovely pink wine last night. Running after alcohol is not always a great idea, and I don’t do it on serious runs. It doesn’t help with the weight loss either, but there has to be some joy in a pandemic. And it was a beautiful evening. But I only drink at the weekend so this is not a confessional post.

However I was a little bit dehydrated this morning, so my two miles felt a bit harder than they should have, but it was a beautiful morning and I hardly met anyone so no one really witnessed the huffing and puffing. Or thought I was trying to kill them with my plumes of disease. I strictly avoid pedestrians by running on the road, which is very easy these days as there’s hardly any cars out. It’s a definite bonus of all this, as is being able to run before work. Who’d have thought a pandemic could have an upside??
