Anything is possible

Forgot to write up my run from yesterday, four miles, which is the furthest I have gone in a while. Time to extend the distances in preparation for marathon training. It was busy enough out but manageable. I did run round in circles a bit but I’m used to that and just wanted to get the miles in.

To say I was red in the face after it was an understatement – Peter asked me if I was having a heart attack. When I cooled down I actually felt great after it, and am excited at the prospect of a summer of running. I just watched a video of one of my running buddies crossing the finish line of her own marathon, after running around in circles as well to stay within the travel restrictions, cheered on by her family. Amazing. Anything is possible.

Travel restrictions… I’d forgotten you were under those… that’s definitely going to put a crimp on marathon training… Running laps can be a bit boring. How likely are you to be harassed if you do run outside of your ‘boundary’?

    • We have to stay within 5k of home for now but that’s going to be extended to 20k soon enough if everything goes well. There are police checks on cars but it’s unlikely much would happen for runners. I am lucky to have a big park beside me where we normally do our marathon training so should be ok!

Well, that’s good… hopefully your restrictions get lifted soon. Nice to know you’ll likely not be harassed as a runner out and about… at least not by the police.

        • Police probably least of my worries!!
