Another beautiful day in the pandemic

I woke up early enough and dozed till I got up to go out. In truth I didn’t think I could face a day at my desk without going for a run. Working from home is great in lots of ways – no commute being the best aspect – but it can sometimes be difficult to maintain momentum for the full day. Working by yourself all day can be tedious, especially when we are so confined to the house. But I’m lucky to have a job where I can work from home and hopefully keep working throughout this madness. So I try and do my best every day.

I ran the same 2 mile route as yesterday and met even less people than yesterday. But I did meet a pheasant – well I passed him on the street. The poor thing did look a bit lost so he might have come from the canal? I’m not sure where pheasants live around here ordinarily, he could have come from the Phoenix Park either which is about 3 miles away. If he brings his mate tomorrow, mr deer, I’ll know for sure where he’s from. Anyway it was another glorious spring morning in the pandemic.
